Roll for the Galaxy is a strategy dice game in which custom dice represent the population of a developing space empire. Players roll their dice, secretly assign them to phases, and then use the activated phases to explore, develop technologies, settle worlds, produce goods, and ship those goods for rewards.

Dice are not only randomizers here: their faces define worker roles, and managing which dice are available, assigned, or returned to the cup is a major part of the strategy. The game adapts ideas from Race for the Galaxy into a simultaneous dice-selection system.

Players: 2–5
Typical play time: 30–60 minutes
Designers: Wei-Hwa Huang and Thomas Lehmann
